Australia for UNHCR was established in 2000 and, with the support of generous Australians, is now one of the major private sector donors to UNHCR globally. Bug started working with Australia for UNHCR back in 2006 with Naomi Steer and Debra O’Neill. This is where we were introduced to the world of fundraising. It wasn’t long before we put together our first fundraising campaign together which was the 2006 Christmas Appeal.

In 2011 we were fortunate enough to travel to Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda, one of Africa’s oldest and largest refugee camps, hosting around 190,000 people from countries like Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, and South Sudan, offering shelter, education, and services. We got to experience first-hand where donor funds go and the incredible difference it makes to people who literally have nothing.

We can proudly say we have continued to work with Australia for UNHCR for 20 years now as a design agency and partner across the business. From photo exhibitions, community events, merchandising design and sourcing, fundraising campaigns, newsletters, Annual reports, digital and head office support.
